Meeta Sainju Pradhan

Bio

Dr. Pradhan’s research explores various aspects of poverty, gender equality, social inclusion and community resilience. She has extensive development experience in Nepal. Her research in Nepal and the Asia region has spanned gender equality, social inclusion, food security, biodiversity conservation and climate change issues. Dr. Pradhan has over 25 years of experience in the development sector, and her interdisciplinary background includes extensive technical and senior management positions. She has developed and led various programs commissioned by several multilateral and bilateral donors; participated in several national, international and regional forums; and presented to global conferences and workshops. Dr. Pradhan holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan (USA) and a master’s degree in sociology from George Mason University (USA).
