On gender and agriculture: webinar series
This webinar series on issues related to gender and agriculture was developed in collaboration with CGIAR Research Programs and partners. It is designed as a knowledge sharing tool to facilitate exchange among members of the CGIAR Collaborative Platform for Gender Research. The objectives are: (1) to promote knowledge sharing and (2) to increase the visibility of CGIAR gender research.
September (TBC): Gender in the Participatory Market Chain Approach (PMCA), organized by Sarah Mayanja at the International Potato Center (CIP).
September (first week): Gender and Breeding Initiative, organized by Holly Holmes at the CGIAR research Program on Roots, Tubers and Bananas.
18 October (TBC): Rural Youth and Livelihood Change, organized by Marlene Elias at Bioversity International.
November (TBC): Women’s rights to forests and trees, participation in decision making, and leadership in forestry, to be presented by Esther Mwangi at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).
December (TBC): GENNOVATE – reflections on a large-scale qualitative study of gender equality in agricultural innovation, organized by Lone Badstue at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT).
