The CGIAR Collaborative Platform for Gender Research hosts annual scientific conferences to bring together gender scientists from across all CGIAR research programs. The aim is to share research findings, exchange knowledge, and to identify and progress on system-wide research priorities.

A small group of breeders, gender specialists and other breeding team members met for two days at Cornell University to review the first two prototype tools developed by the CGIAR Gender in Breeding Initiative.
