Bio

Muzna Alvi is a research fellow with the Natural Resources and Resilience (NRR) Unit at IFPRI. Her research interests include studying the relationship between ethnic and social identity and its effects on economic, education, and employment outcomes, particularly for women. Muzna has a PhD and MA in Economics from Michigan State University and an MPhil in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has previously worked with the World Bank, Planning Commission of India and GIZ.
