Gender Nutrition Idea Exchange (GNIE)

  • To provide researchers a space to ask questions on how to design, conduct, analyze and communicate research, and share new ideas, best practices, and general guidance on gender and nutrition research.

Number of members : about 250 blog subscribers (with additional readers who directly access the blog or via a link sent out in dissemination emails) and 50 workshop participants

Significant achievements/outputs: Gender-Nutrition Methods Workshops and monthly posts on the Gender Nutrition Idea Exchange blog

Individuals who make up this community of practice: CGIAR researchers (includes senior researchers, research assistants, postdoctoral fellows) and non CGIAR researchers and implementers

Upcoming initiative(s): plan to synthesize research from the past few years

Key success factors:  regular posts on the GNIE blog, interest in the topic across the CGIAR and the need for capacity building in the gender and agriculture-nutrition-health area
