

Women are intricately tied to household food security and nutrition.
They often have an important say in how foods are prepared and allocated to different household members, but might not always have much influence over what foods are produced, sold or purchased.
In this way, women’s empowerment can be a pathway toward improved nutrition for families and societies, just as better and more nutritious foods can support women’s empowerment.
