What does meaningful progress look like in addressing gender issues in the environment (and agriculture)?

Abstract

The central argument that women are key actors in the environment was included in the Beijing Platform for Action’s Critical Area of Concern at the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995. Three strategic objectives were listed in Part K of the platform for action, which focused on women and the environment. Twenty years later, it remains central. In this blog post, the author discusses what has been achieved and what work remains to be done to complete the actions. [This summary was provided by the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform]
