Gender norms, agency and innovation in wheat based systems and livelihoods: synthesis report of four community case-studies in Ethiopia

Abstract

This country report is a summary of the Ethiopian findings from a global qualitative comparative research initiative known as GENNOVATE. This report examines how gender norms and agency shape, and in turn are shaped by, local benefits from agricultural innovation and NRM. This study, conducted in late 2014 and early 2015, aims to build greater knowledge about the connections between gender equality and agricultural development.
