Abiyot Anbacha

Bio

Abiyot Anbacha is a gender and development lecturer and researcher with two decades of experience in teaching development courses and integrating gender in agricultural research and projects. She has a PhD in Environment and Development Studies from Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Currently she is working as a Scientist II in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion for International Rice Research Institute. She has a track record of leading innovative gender research, projects, writing and disseminating groundbreaking publications on gender, climate change and agriculture useful for policy makers and practitioners. Anbacha has great experience of working with people from social and biological sciences on ensuring inclusion and equality to address the needs of women, and other marginalized groups. Anbacha has a strong passion for gender equality and social inclusion.
