What data we collect and why

We collect basic personal data such as nameorganizationfunction in relation to gender research, and email address. None of the information we collect is sensitive. We collect this data in order to identify your relation to gender research and the CGIAR gender community, as we occasionally inform CGIAR gender specialists and other professionals in distinct targeted ways. This data is stored in our information systems until you unsubscribe from our mailing list (which you can do by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of every mailing message you receive from us).

What we do with your data

All mailing list members receive the latest news from the CGIAR GENDER Platform such as upcoming information campaigns, newsletters, webinars, events etc. We occasionally target CGIAR gender scientists for events that are specifically addressed to them.

Your data is processed by our staff at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Nairobi, Kenya. For the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance, this information is located on servers provided by a third-party mailing list management service. Some of the servers that host your personal data may be located in countries that do not provide a level of data protection equivalent to that of your home country. We will take appropriate steps to make sure that our service providers act in accordance with applicable law.

Your personal data is not shared with or sold to third parties.

What you can do with your data

At any time, you may unsubscribe from our mailing list via the link that is included in every mailing. Once you unsubscribe, you will not receive any more mailings from this list.
