Ana Maria Paez Valencia

Bio

Ana Maria Paez Valencia is a Gender Specialist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. In the past, Paez Valencia supported ICRAF’s gender unit in developing an operational framework for effectively integrating gender and inclusion into ICRAF’s work and in the coordination of the gender cross-cutting theme in the CGIAR research program on forest, trees and agroforestry. Before joining ICRAF she worked with the Statistics Division and the Gender, Equity and Rural Employment Division at FAO, supporting the capacity development strategy for member countries on production and use of gender-disaggregated agricultural data and addressing gender and social equality in agricultural and food security programs. She has nine years of work experience on the design, planning, execution, and M&E of development projects, particularly on indicators design with a gender lens
