Bio

Mansi Shah has been working with SEWA since over 11 years as a Senior Technical Coordinator in Rural Economic and Development sector. She is the Program Manager for the Future of Work activities at SEWA.

Under the guidance of SEWA’s director Reema Nanavaty (Commissioner, ILO’s Global Commission on Future of Work), Shah has orchestrated and lead several workshops and roundtable conferences with poor women workers from informal economy; especially with women from fragile and conflict affected areas like Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Myanmar as well as Indian states like Kashmir and north-eastern states like Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya to understand the challenges and issues faced by women from these areas and understand their perspective of “Future of Work”.

Shah has represented SEWA at the UN-CSW for two successive years in March 2018 and 2019. During her master’s degree Program in Structural Engineering, she was awarded Gold Medal for academic excellence. Indian Classical singing is her favorite hobby.
