Bio

Nitya Chanana is Gender and Social Inclusion Science Officer  at Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA). Her research focuses on gender dimensions of climate change adaptation in agriculture, including climate-smart agriculture (CSA). Before joining CIAT, Chanana worked with CCAFS South Asia and led activities related to gender and social inclusion across CSA projects in India and Nepal. She has more than 10 years of experience and has also worked in the private sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), India, and has an undergraduate degree in Economics.
