Bio

Prof Salome Bukachi is an Associate professor at the University of Nairobi’s Institute of Anthropology, Gender, and African Studies. She has over 20 years of experience working on infectious diseases, focusing on community knowledge and practices related to livestock and zoonotic diseases, gender issues, and nutrition anthropology. Through her work, she brings a holistic understanding of people's cultures, the broader context in which they occur, and how they impact various facets of people's lives and daily phenomena. Prof. Bukachi holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi.
