Bio
Sapna is a Senior Fellow at the Population Council Institute and an advisor at the SEWA Social Security based in New Delhi, India. She has spent the last 20 years working on women's groups and women’s health in India as an implementer, evaluator and advocate. Sapna cofounded the global Evidence Consortium on Women’s Groups, where she led evidence syntheses on the impact of women’s groups and worked to develop typologies to examine their implementation models. She previously led SEWA’s national health program, working with community health workers to strengthen women’s health security in several states. Sapna holds a PhD from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a master’s from Harvard University.
