Dissemination of improved bambara processing technologies through a new coalition arrangement to enhance rural livelihoods in Northern Ghana. Project Final Report

Abstract

The purpose of the project was to promote bambara processing and utilization for improved food security of poor households through the effective dissemination of improved processing technologies involving several coalition partners and other stakeholders and beneficiaries. The project hypothesis was that bambara producers will increase production as a result of having available improved methods for processing and utilising the commodity, and that the dissemination of these technologies will be most effectively achieved by improving the institutional linkages and operations of the Agricultural Knowledge Information System (AKIS), which consists of a coalition of partner organisations and other stakeholders
