NIRS calibration database on fresh yam for texture at CIRAD, Guadeloupe
Abstract
"This database contains 1017 NIR spectra of fresh slices of yam acquired in CIRAD (Guadeloupe), by using ASD Labspec5000 NIR spectrometer. Yam harvested at INRAE Godet Station (Guadeloupe) from one field with the various varieties and one year 2022 (harvests from February 7 to March 31)

The database contains also laboratory data measured on the same yam samples: texture measurements were recorded after 15 minutes of cooking and 7 minutes of temperature stabilization (to assess 45 °C) by penetrometry test (hardness 5mm (N); hardness max (N); Distance à F max; Aire dist; gradient 5-hmax; gradient 0-5; hardness 10mm (N)); the Dry matter values (DM) correspond to dry matter content measured after freeze-drying of the yam pieces"
