Abstract

This study was conducted in 2021 to generate the baseline values for the new project titled “Piloting inclusive business and entrepreneurial models for smallholder fish farmers and poor value chain actors in Zambia and Malawi.” The project is funded by the GIZ. The survey collected data on fish farmers’ demographic characteristics, fish farming background, fish farming activities, access to aquaculture input and output markets, production constraints, and other topics. The survey was conducted in July 2021 by the WorldFish Malawi team.
