Annet Abenakyo Mulema holds a Ph.D. in sociology and sustainable agriculture, with a focus on social change. She has over 10 years of experience working in international research for development. Her areas of expertise include gender analysis, gender-sensitive value chain analysis, measuring women’s economic empowerment, gender capacity development, qualitative and quantitative research methods, gender transformative approaches, environment, and climate change. Other research interests include food security, nutrition, testing business models that work for women, fostering financial inclusiveness, social protection, inclusive markets, land tenure security, innovation platforms and collectives, and partnerships.
