Bio
Benu Verma is an Associate Scientist with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), contributing to the Evidence Module of the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform. Holding a PhD in Social Anthropology, she is passionate about undertaking and highlighting nuanced, progressive research in agri-food systems with a strong emphasis on gender and youth dimensions. In the last 15 years of her career, she has worked as a practitioner, researcher and an academic concerned with issues like GBV, women and work, women’s land rights, women’s political participation and the everydayness of socio-cultural gender norms.
