Bio
Gundula Fischer is a social anthropologist with long-term experience in gender analysis in
agricultural and organizational settings. Currently, her work focuses on sustainable
agricultural intensification. Fischer has a specific interest in women and men farmers’ assessments of innovations (in multiple domains) and in the development of integrated socio-technical innovations. Further core themes have been agricultural mechanization, value chains and gender-transformative approaches. Fischer’s methodological expertise lies in qualitative, mixed-methods and participatory action research approaches; her local expertise includes Ghana, Mali, Tanzania and Malawi.
