Linda Etale

Linda Etale is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the CGIAR GENDER Platform, Evidence Module based in Nairobi, Kenya. Etale is experienced in both evidence-based research and implementation of development programs in gender, natural resources management, land use, land rights, food security and livelihoods development. Her interests include contributing to research that positively impacts the socioeconomic status of agriculture-dependent communities, while addressing gender inequalities. Etale is involved in critical projects, such as those that seek to understand the gendered impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the livelihoods of agriculture-dependent households in Africa. She also supports the Evidence Module of the CGIAR GENDER Platform in grant management. Etale received her PhD in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2020. She also holds an MSc degree in Education for Sustainability and a BA in International Relations.
