Bio

Meredith Soule is the Inclusive Development Division Chief in USAID’s Bureau for Resilience and Food Security. An agricultural economist by training, she joined USAID in 2001. She has consistently championed gender equality and women’s empowerment throughout her work on agricultural research, sustainable production and climate-smart approaches, market systems, private-sector engagement, conflict management and mitigation, youth empowerment, digitalization and localization. Dr. Soule holds a PhD in agricultural and resource economics, and a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies.
