Rachel Kagoiya

Bio

Rachel Kagoiya is an exceptional and vibrant team leader, an advocate for social justice, human rights and transformative leadership, currently serving as the Executive Director at GROOTS Kenya. She has an extensive experience honed in the last 19 years in gender and women’s rights documentation, feminist analysis, solution-oriented programming, movement building, participatory training and mentorship/femtorship. Prior to joining GROOTS Kenya, Rachel worked at FEMNET – the African Women’s Development and Communication Network, where she co-designed and executed programmatic interventions around strategic communication, transformative women’s leadership, decolonizing the internet and movement building. She finds joy in reading, dancing, walking in nature, and socializing.
