Bio

Rebecca Rosario Hallin is an international policy expert with over a decade’s experience from working with bilateral and intergovernmental platforms related to foreign and security policy, sustainable development and public-private partnership development.

She has a BA in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies, and a MSc in Gender Studies, her geographic focus areas include the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and North America. Before joining KIT Rebecca worked as a diplomat in the Swedish foreign service, posted to Iraq, Colombia and to the Permanent Mission to the UN in New York.

At KIT Rebecca is a part of the Gender Team, working on issues related to feminist policy development, funding and financing mechanisms,  rights and empowerment, providing gender analysis and critical reflections, as well as conducting and facilitating applied research grounded in feminist theories and methods. She has a keen interest in structural and organizational change with intersectionality and decolonization at its center.
