Timmo Gaasbeek

Bio

Timmo Gaasbeek works as Senior Policy Officer Food Security at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His focus is on food security, IWRM, conflict management and climate change & variability. His cum laude PhD research looked at everyday inter-ethnic interaction in a multi-ethnic part of Sri Lanka's war zone, centered around an irrigation system. He is currently working on a study on Sahel rainfall patterns, which is intended to turn into a second PhD.
