The 2019 theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March, was: “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. On this most important date, the CGIAR gender community revealed the incredible progress made, current CGIAR gender research efforts, and the next generation of challenges that women and girls, men and boys are facing in their households and communities when it comes to agriculture, aquaculture and natural resource management.

We were pleased to announce: perspectives from CGIAR leadership (Executive Director of the CGIAR System Office, CGIAR Research Program Directors) and from gender scientists; a glimpse of research papers and policy briefs; some multimedia materials and pictures from across the entire CGIAR System.
