We are pleased to inform you that the deadline for abstract submission for the international conference, ‘Accelerating Equality in Food, Land, and Water Systems: Driving Solutions Through Evidence and Learning.’ has been extended to Friday, April 25, 2025, 23:59 p.m. CEST!
Following the tradition of the biennial CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform conferences, the international conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, private sector actors, local and indigenous communities and others, who work toward transforming food systems. Join us in Cape Town, South Africa, 7-9 October to showcase your research and connect, learn and share with others.
The 2025 Gender Conference aims to accelerate gender equality and social inclusion in food, land, and water systems by identifying evidence-based solutions, fostering collaboration among global stakeholders, and driving policy and innovation that empower women, youth, and socially excluded groups for a more sustainable and resilient future.
We welcome both individual contributions and full session proposals that aim to generate and stimulate meaningful discussions on how to achieve greater equality in food, land, and water systems.
We especially encourage submissions that offer

We invite contributions that push boundaries of gender research using a wide range of methodological approaches that help identify what works to close gender gaps and advance equality in agri-food systems, including

We invite submissions for 90-minute full sessions (capacity development, panel or scientific) or individual contributions in the form of a 15-20 minute oral presentation, or a poster and display. Please note that we will host a dedicated panel session for poster presentations. This format is designed to ensure that every participant has the opportunity to be heard and receive constructive feedback.
Presentations and sessions will align and contribute to the overall conference aims and will show studies and generate discussion across the conference themes
