Abstract

The dataset contains the results of a survey on Community Rangeland Management conducted in Syria in 2005, specifically rangeland field verification data collected at site and transect level. ICARDA, in collaboration with the Steppe Directorate of Syria and the Badia Rehabilitation Project, undertook a comprehensive survey of the Badia in 2005-06. The aim was to integrate production and socio-economic factors, to improve the capacity of stakeholders to develop technical and institutional interventions, and to enhance the sustainability of Bedouin’s livelihoods. NOTE: The original dataset was stored in SPSS Statistics file format, but it was not accessible without proper licence.
