Biodiversity and climate change: restoring the connectivity for globally threatened species requiring landscape level conservation

Abstract

AGROFORESTRY SYSTEMS that are intermediate between natural habitats and intensive agriculture can restore the connectivity for globally threatened species in the Philippine Hotspots while at the same time enhance the resilience of KBAs to climate change. In addition, agroforestry integrates conservation objectives with development and land use strategies that meet the basic needs and aspirations of human communities
