Data in Emergencies Monitoring Household Survey 2021: Round 3 (Yemen, Rep.)

Abstract

The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality).

The FAO launched on 8 July 2021 a household survey designed to reach 4 750 households spanning 17 governorates in Yemen. The data collection resumed on 18 September 2021 actually reaching 3 687 households. The survey was representative of vulnerable agricultural households at the governorate (admin 1) level, with a 95 percent confidence level and a 6 percent margin of error.
