Abstract

Emigration of three species of penaeid prawn from backwaters and tidal ponds were studied.
Considerable diel, tidal, lunar and seasonal fluctuations were observed in emigration
process, which was almost nocturnal. Rate of emigration and composition of emigrants
varied with time of migration
