Farmers’ perceptions and constraints on use of sweetpotato vines silage in feeding dairy cows

Abstract

The findings from this study suggest limited youth involvement in smallholder dairy farming, limited involvement of dairy farmers in farmer group activities, limited penetration of extension services and zero grazing crossbreeds was a popular practice and choice of breed. Resource ownership influenced the use of sweetpotato vines silage. Respondents in the secondary CIP project intervention category had better access and understanding of sweetpotato vines silage technology than their counterparts in the primary CIP project intervention category
