Optimal Timing of Antiretroviral Therapy Initiation for HIV-Infected Adults With Newly Diagnosed Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

Initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART) during tuberculosis (TB) treatment remains challenging. This review aims to assess evidence from randomised, controlled trials of the timing of ART initiation in HIV-infected adults with newly diagnosed pulmonary TB. This research is supported by the Department for International Development’s Evidence Building and Synthesis Research Programme which is led by Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
