T'ikapapa: Vinculando Consumidores Urbanos y Pequeños Productores Andinos con la Biodiversidad de la Papa (T'ikapapa: Linking Urban Consumers and Small Andean Producers with Potato Biodiversity)
Abstract
In the Peruvian highlands there is a wide biodiversity of potato, which is not sufficiently exploited in sustainable terms. Most native potato varieties are unknown, and although it is not possible to show loss, it is possible to verify the stagnation of production and a latent danger of its disappearance. In this context, the INCOPA Project of the International Potato Center (CIP), which aims to develop actions that will identify and exploit new market opportunities, has been working, and taking advantage of the biodiversity of native potatoes and articulating the best way to producers with other actors in the production chain of potato?
