Understanding the Social Protection Implications of Changing Demographics in Rwanda

Abstract

This study: consolidates existing literature and demographic data for Rwanda; identifies longer-term constraints and opportunities for harnessing Rwanda’s demographic transition through a social protection lens; makes recommendations on priority actions to support both policy makers and development partners in planning for Rwanda’s changing population and age.
