This event aims to raise awareness about the gender dimensions of climate change impacts on vulnerable communities in Africa engaged in food systems. The event will share outcomes of the gender and climate change vulnerability hotspot mapping exercise done in partnership with various organisations including the Africa Group of Negotiators Expert Support, AICCRA and the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform in Kenya, Zambia, Uganda and Botswana among others between 2021-2023. Through the mapping exercise, we identified areas where women are most at risk to climate change impacts, providing guidance on where to invest and what actions to take to address such inequalities in food systems.
