Bio

Deborah Rubin is the Co-Founder and Director of Cultural Practice, LLC. She is a senior social development analyst, working at the intersection of agricultural development and gender equality. She is currently the Co-Lead for Cross-Cutting Themes with the Cornell University Innovation Lab for Crop Improvement (ILCI) and a core team member of IFPRI’s Gender, Agriculture, and Assets Project (GAAP2) and its development of the qualitative methods for the project-level Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (pro-WEAI). Rubin has a Ph.D. and M.A. in anthropology from the Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. degree in anthropology from Brown University.
