Md. Abul Kalam

Bio

Md. Abul Kalam is a Research and Monitoring Manager with Helen Keller Intl in Bangladesh. Kalam's eight years of research with diverse communities in Bangladesh, from rural to urban areas, across plain lands and deep hills, is based on a grounded theory approach to inform nutrition and health programs from a socio-cultural and ecological lens.

His core training in anthropological theories and research methods has especially prepared him to bring socio-cultural nuances to health and nutrition challenges. Kalam is a Medical Anthropologist with an MA from Dhaka University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Emory University’s program for Global Health and Development.
