Women and men are affected by climate change impacts in different ways, and have different opportunities and resources that can help them respond.

Climate change adaptation and mitigation actions, policies and investments must take such differences into account to be successful. Women can be drivers of climate change responses when agricultural climate change solutions—such as climate-smart agriculture—are designed to work for them.
