The Cultivating Equality: Advancing Gender Research in Agriculture and Food Systems conference will be held virtually on October 12–15, 2021.

This year, the UN Food Systems Summit calls for “bold actions to transform the way the world produces and consumes food” to advance the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Gender equality is a precondition to achieving these goals and generating sustainable and resilient agricultural and food systems.

Join us as we explore progress in research that helps understand and advance positive synergies among resilient agricultural, rural and food systems, and equality in societies globally.

Participation and contributions

The conference will actively engage researchers, students, and other actors to move forward the agenda of gender research in agriculture and food systems.

Participants will take advantage of interactive spaces—scientific dialogues, multi-stakeholder panels, networking sessions—availed throughout the four-day conference program to move forward the agenda of gender+ research in agriculture and food systems.

For further details on how you can participate, including by submitting an abstract or hosting a session, please visit the conference website.
